Terra Formars Live-Action Movie's Teaser Trailer Released

The official website for the live-action movie of Terra Formars manga released a teaser video on Friday.
The movie will premiere in Japan on April 29. Takashi Miike will direct the movie, with scripts by Kazuki Nakashima.
Terra Formars originally is a science-fiction manga written by Yu Sasuga and illustrated by Kenichi Tachibana. The manga began serialization in Shueisha's magazine Weekly Young Jump in 2011, and the 15th volume will be published on November 19.
In an attempt to colonize Mars, the modified algae to improve environment and the spread medium cockroaches had put into Mars since 21st century. Five centuries later, the terraforming of Mars is now complete, but an unintended side effect of the terraforming process is revealing.
After the first manned ship to Mars lands was lost, the giant mutated humanoid cockroaches with incredible physical strength emerged, and they are later labeled "Terraformars". Then a second expedition arrived, they prepare to exterminate the cockroaches. To fight the Terraformars, the crew of the explorer has undergone "Bugs Procedure", a terrifying experimental surgery designed to make them more than human...
There is a poster debuted on Monday, showing the main cast wearing spacesuit costumes, and the tagline "we will survive".

The original manga contains some non-Japanese team members, and these members have had their names and part of their characters changed. For example, the Thai character Thien is now Jin Muto, as played by Tomohisa Yamashita (Yamapi).
