Two TV Anime Ultraman and Sazae-san Award the Guinness World Records

The Guinness World Records committee certifies Sazae-san as the longest running animated TV anime series on September 5 and Ultraman TV anime as the most number of spinoffs television series in the world on September 12.
Sazae-san is a Japanese comic strip created by Machiko Hasegawa. It was first published in Hasegawa's local paper, the Fukunichi Shinbun, on April 22, 1946. The television anime began airing in Japan in October 1969 and it will broadcast in celebration of the 45th anniversary of the anime series this year. The anime has had over 2,250 episodes and about 7,000 short stories as of September 1. It constantly ranks high on the Japanese TV rankings.
Ultraman is a Japanese Tokusatsu television that first aired in 1996. The most recent series, Ultraman Ginga (Ultraman Galaxy), just debuted in July.
